What is Kingdom of Yapahuwa?

Yapahuwa, the kingdom capitals of medieval Sri Lanka ruled by the king Buwanekabahu back in 1272: 13th century. The Ornamental stairway is its biggest showpiece. On top of the rock are the remains of a Stupa, a Bodhi tree enclosure, and a rock shelter/cave used by Buddhist monks. Top of that, the amazing view from an epic viewpoint will be a great reason to visit. Yapahuwa is one of safe house where kept the sacred tooth relic of Budhdha for safety during foreign invading.
